This year for Ainsley’s 1st Birthday we asked people to contribute to a new Playhouse. We finally got a dry weekend and worked together to get the job done Muy Rapido (thanks Handy Manny).

Uncle Alex and Grandpa Steve started early on the deck which gave us a great head start.

The new dance moves is the back and forth shimmy. She’s been bobbing her head for a while now, but the swing is brand new!

Birthday, Great Wolf Style

Nana invited us all to the Great Wolf Lodge to celebrate her birthday. Such a fun place.

Grandpa and Rogan played Magiquest, and by the end of the weekend Rogan beat the RED DRAGON!

Nana was nice enough to let Rogan share his half-birthday celebration with her birthday. 2 candles to blow out!

Valentines Day Photo Op

Kids Update

Ainsley is standing on her own (not for long, but she’s up). She also started signing “more” and clapping. It’s stupidly cute. She is so proud of the clapping, probably because it gets such a reaction from us. She’s finally starting to fit into her 9 mo clothes, so we have some new outfits to break out. Speaking of new clothes, Andrea bought Ainsley her first pair of “walking” shoes yesterday.

Rogan is 1 inch from filling the bathtub top to bottom head to toe, next time we go to Great Wolf Lodge I bet he’ll be able to go on the big slides! He is absolutely in LOVE with Lego Star Wars and Harry Potter. Yesterday he made his own General Grevous using character pieces he already had. Very creative. He’s also really getting good at recognizing his letters and counting. He can count to twenty all by himself. Andrea has been working with him, and the progress is really showing.

Fun in the Snow

We had an excellent Northwest Snow Storm in January. Lots of heavy wet snow made for some fantastic snowball fights and sledding in the back yard.

Rogan got started with some snow angels.

Then came the snow ball fights!

Sledding down our small hit was a big hit. The small hill was just the right speed.

Fruit Ninja Kinect is Rogan’s Kind of Game!
