The First Snow of the Season
The first round of snow came along last weekend. Nana and Grandpa Steve invited us all over for a warm lunch and some snowman making goodness in the fresh powder.

Getting ready to play in the snow!

Grandpa Steve was teaching Rogan about snowballs. The problem was the snow was so dry and light that it was very hard to pack together. We tried, in vain, to make a snowman. However, I was able to pack together enough snow to make a Snow Duck.

Rogan wasn't entirely sure about the cold, but he did get a kick out of the Duck's bill.

Rogan doesn't like to wear his mittens. Instead he opts for my big snow gloves. He's our little “Lobster Man”.

Getting the shot!

“Rogan, stand there so I can aim this thing.”

As you can see Sebastian was in there as well.

Yeah, I have no idea what I'm doing…

We did get the perfect shot, after all that! Merry Christmas!

Gifts for the kiddo
Check out Rogan's Wish List on Amazon.com There is also the Our Gift Registry link on the right.
We've kept this one pretty up to date with ideas for little Rogan. The Fun Tube and other age appropriate play toys would be great. A friendly reminder to all grandparents, remember the rule
Still, if you have questions feel free to email Andrea or myself with ideas you'd like to run by us. And especially in the current economy, the gift of an experience is always appreciated.

Santa's Breakfast at Woodland Park Zoo

Rogan is not a big fan of Santa up close. He loves to see pictures of him and will even say “Ho, Ho, Ho!” but in person, you gotta admit, Santa can be a little scary.

Breakfast was yummy and the short version of the Nutcracker was cute.

David playing peek-a-boo with his mommy. (Renee really was there. We just didn't get any pictures of her.)

David cruising around with Daddy.
After the Santa Breakfast we all bundled up and hit the highlights of the zoo. You'd be surprised how many animals you can see when it's 40 degrees outside. A lot of them were snuggled up sleeping near the windows to keep warm. Later we all headed over to the Seattle Center for some lunch and to see the decorations. The elaborate miniature train display was a big hit with the boys (big and little).
It was great to spend the day together! ]]>
