Ainsley Got Her First Cold

Our cute little girl got her first cold. Runny nose, little cough, generally miserable.

Despite being sick, she still let me get a few hours of sleep last night, and she’s actually pretty pleasant considering. As long as Mama’s holding her, she’s content to just rest her head down.

You’ll also notice in this picture that Andrea finally has new glasses. First new pair since I’ve known her. I know, right?! They look pretty slick  don’t they?

Ainsley at 6 Months

We took Ainsley in for her 6 month checkup. She weighed in at 13.5 lbs and was 25 1/2 inches tall. That puts here square in the 15th percentile. She definitely got Andrea’s build. All the development milestones are going great. Heathy and happy little girl, who got her first taste of solids. Rice cereal and apple sauce are both a hit. Sweet potatoes and squash are also favorites. Peas…not so much.

Remlinger Farm – Day at the Country Fair

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in D:\Hosting\4130656\html\family\wp-content\plugins\wordpress-flickr-manager\FlickrManager.php on line 358

We have been going to Remlinger Farms for years to get pumpkins in the fall and ice cream in the summer and have always heard the squeals of joy coming from the small fun park located on the property.  This year, instead of fighting the crowds at the Evergreen State Fair, we decided to go to Remlinger and check out the County Fair.  This was a GREAT choice!  Rogan is the perfect age for this place.  The rides were just his size and speed.  Since it was Labor Day weekend there weren’t many people; we didn’t have to wait in line and Rogan could even go on rides a couple times.  The highlights of the day were riding Rhubarb the pony and taking the train around the grounds.  We will definitely go back again next year so Ainsley can join in on the fun! :)
